Makerere University Department of Journalism and Communication in partnership with Ultimate Multimedia Consult are organizing free online trainings weekly to increase learning in aspects of Digital Communication, Multimedia Journalism & Production, Digital Pedagogy and Media Literacy & Information. On Friday 26th August 2022, a session on ‘Managing media and communications during an election’ will be facilitated by Paul Bukenya, Uganda Electoral Commission Principal Public Relations Officer.

The Electoral Commission in Uganda is always in the spotlight during every election as competition for different electoral offices comes with different heavy stakes, need for update and accurate information as well being able to convince above the propaganda from competing sides.
